Fender Competition Mustang - 1971 - Blue w/OHSC

This is a 1971 Fender Competition Mustang in its original blue finish.  The finish has some nicks/dings/scratches and lots of lacquer checking though out but overall is still in very good condition.  As you can see it has an added vintage Gibson mini humbucker in the middle position with a toggle to activate it.  The body was roughly chiseled out to fit the pickup.  This is the full length 24" scale version.  The frets look to have been leveled and are fairly low (especially up near the heel) but the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with nice easy action and no buzzes or issues.  The pickups sound great and the controls work as they should.  Outside of the added pickup the guitar looks to be completely stock and it comes in the original hardshell case.  Both the neck stamp and pots date to 1971.  The weight is 7.87 lbs.  I don't have the tremolo bar for this one.
