Fender Jazz Bass - 1978 / 1980 - Black w/OHSC

This is an almost completely original 1980 Fender Jazz bass.  This was built towards the end of the '70s style Jazz bass production as it has a 1978 serial number and '70s features/specs but was completed in 1980 (pots date to the 8th week of 1980) and has the black molded hardshell case.  Ash body in black finish with bound Maple neck.  The strap buttons have been changed but otherwise it is completely stock.  Bass has some minor nicks/scratches and very light lacquer checking but overall is in excellent condition.  The original frets are in excellent shape and it plays cleanly up and down the fretboard with good action and no buzzes or issues.  The pickups sound great and the controls all function properly.  The weight is 10.62 lbs.  It comes in the original hardshell case and comes with the pickup covers.  Please let me know if you have any questions. No trade offers please. Thank you!
